One time, my older brother happened to be driving the bus I was going home from school on.
We were catching up and laughing.
When we reached his time checkpoint, he got off the bus to enjoy a cigarette.
I remained on my seat in the bus.
Two middle-aged ladies on another seat next to mine huffed, "Well, I never!" and "I know!"
I never planned on responding, but did look at them, and found myself saying, "I never either.
But, if you show me how and tell me why, I will try if you like."
Not another word out of them up til my stop where I got off the bus.
